Biography
AJ Dolman (she/they) is a poet, fiction writer and professional editor living on unceded Anishinaabe Algonquin territory. They are the author of poetry collection Crazy / Mad (Gordon Hill Press, 2024), Lost Enough: A collection of short stories (Morning Rain Publishing, 2017) and three poetry chapbooks, and co-edited the poetry and non-fiction anthology Motherhood in Precarious Times (Demeter Press, 2018).
Dolman's poetry has appeared in numerous magazines, journals and anthologies, including The Quarantine Review, QT Literary Magazine, Another Dysfunction Cancer Poem Anthology, Canadian Ginger, Arc Poetry Magazine, Grain, The Antigonish Review, Fiddlehead, Bywords and PRISM international. Their short fiction has appeared in publications such as Canthius Matrix Magazine, Triangulation: Lost Voices, On Spec: the Canadian magazine of the fantastic, Geist and Utne, and their nonfiction and reviews have appeared in magazines and anthologies such as Imaginary Safe House, Room, Arc Poetry Magazine and This Magazine. They are a bisexual+, 2SLGBTQIA+ and mental health rights advocate.
Dolman holds a BA in anthropology (professional writing minor) from the University of Victoria.
