Biography
Mary Lee Bragg grew up in Calgary and now lives in Ottawa, where she had a career in the public service. Her award-winning poetry and short fiction have appeared in literary magazines and ezines in Canada, the United States and Cuba. She has published the novel Shooting Angels (2004) and two poetry chapbooks, How Women Work (2010) and Winter Music (2013).
Mary Lee's first poetry collection, The Landscape That Isn't There (Aeolous House, 2019), was short-listed for the Archibald Lampman award. Her second collection, Airplane Earth, was published by Silver Bow Publishing in 2024.
Mary Lee is married to the poet Colin Morton, and mother of one son, Jeffrey.
Translation
I speak French fluently, and have translated poetry from French to English.
